It takes years of “On-the-Job Experience” along with continued education to obtain a thorough understanding of Building Science. Knowledge of Building Science is a necessity for a home inspector to properly evaluate the existing condition of a previously constructed building and in defining the correct means and methods for remediation of any defective items discovered.

Buying a home is probably the most expensive investment you will ever make. This is not the time to purchase an inexperienced inspector for your inspection. We all realize this, but author and social thinker, John Ruskin, said it well: “The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. It cannot be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run and if you do that, you will have enough to pay for something better."
